As the eyes catch first light, it’s already 9. After a long exhausting day followed by a sweet good night’s sleep, we were ready for the next day. Breakfast and tea were served precisely at scheduled time, and it’s no exaggeration to say that catering team is the most hardworking one on train. The food is simply great, much better than what you’ll get in any mess.

Day — 2 breakfast

Food and Banter

We were told that our first chair car session if scheduled after lunch, which gave us a couple of hours for other stuff. The discussions began, starting from intros and going all the way from AI, blockchain, remote sensing to naxalite problems in CG to quality of Jersey cows. The quality of these discussions justified the diverse set of expertise we had on board.

Discussions over lunch

BTW, the guy sitting with us is the founder of world’s longest entrepreneurial train journey, and has transformed 4500 lives in 10 years. He is one of the best visionaries in India, I would say.

CHAIR CAR DISCUSSIONS

The first session of the moving classroom started with basic instructions to follow on train. Then we were briefed about the lifeline exercise. It is an interactive exercise based on satisfaction-age graph. It really is a great way to build trust among teams. This is the stuff they don’t teach in classrooms. At the end of exercise, we actually felt a deep connection among our cohort and group, even though we are from very different backgrounds.

PS: Cold has struck the Yatra pretty bad already. Many Yatris had cold. The medication was easily available on board.
So dinner, two tablets, Haldi Milk and see you tomorrow :-)
